  The 8^th International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Renewable Energy (ICMERE 2025), organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET), was held on 10–12 December 2025 in Chattogram, Bangladesh. The conference aims to bring together distinguished academicians, researchers, scientists, engineers, industry professionals, and students from around the world to exchange knowledge and share recent advances in Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, and related disciplines. Through keynote lectures, invited talks, and technical sessions, ICMERE 2025 provided an international platform for presenting innovative research, discussing emerging technologies, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and developing future academic and industrial partnerships. The conference was intended to encourage creative and sustainable engineering solutions that contribute to technological advancement, community development, and the improvement of social and environmental well-being.

  Mechanical and allied engineering have made significant contributions to technological advancement. Rapid development in technology can be achieved through continuous research. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Bangladesh successfully organized the 8^th International Conference on Mechanical, Industrial and Energy Engineering (ICMIEE2024), continuing its biennial tradition, on 02–04 January 2025 in Khulna, the industrial city of Bangladesh. The main objective of ICMIEE 2024 was to create an effective platform for researchers and technical experts to share their recent ideas, innovations, and problem-solving techniques in the broad fields of Mechanical and allied Engineering. The conference provided a valuable opportunity for both researchers and industrial communities to meet, discuss, and exchange their research outcomes in the fields of Mechanical, Industrial, Energy, Leather, Textile, Mechatronics, and Chemical Engineering.
