For Publishing Conference Proceedings
Author Guidelines
Authors should follow these guidelines strictly during the submission of the manuscript. Authors are requested to read our publication ethics before submission.
Manuscript Preparation
The manuscript draft should have the following mandatory components (Effective from July 01, 2025):
- Manuscript Title
- Author Name(s) and Affiliation(s)
- Abstract
- Keywords
- Main Text (Introduction, Materials and Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, etc.)
- Acknowledgements
- Author Contributions
- Conflict of Interest Statement
- Funding Information
- Generative AI Statement
- References
The authors must take necessary permissions to use copyright protected materials in their manuscript and preserve them for future reference.
Title (Mandatory)
The title of the manuscript should reflect the scope of the manuscript in the selected area of applied science and engineering.
Abstract (Mandatory)
The abstract should be written within 250 words. It should highlight the scope, novelty of the approach, and major results. Provide 3-5 keywords at the end of the abstract.
Keywords (Mandatory)
Write 3–5 journal-aligned keywords that reflect the core focus of the study, combining technical terms (e.g., "finite element analysis"), materials/methods (e.g., "Ti-6Al-4V"), and applications (e.g., "wind turbine blades"). Avoid broad/generic terms, title repetitions, and undefined abbreviations. Keywords should enhance discoverability without redundancy.
Main Text (Mandatory)
The whole draft manuscript should be written in single column layout and must be in Microsoft Word (.docx) file. All text should be written in Times New Roman 12 pt font size and 1.5 line spacing except the paper title. In the case of the paper title, the font size should be 14 pt. The heading of each section should be distinguishable from the text in the manuscript.
Figure(s)
All the artwork and figures should be clear and readable. The figure should not be the default graphs generated from Microsoft Excel. The single column figure width is 88 mm (max.) and the double column figure width is a maximum of 180 mm (max.). The authors should maintain the size of the figure so that the text in the figure appears to be Times New Roman, 10 pt size to match with the main text. The figure caption should be placed at the bottom of the figure. All figures must be cited in the manuscript text.
Table(s)
Tables should be editable and must not be in image format. The table caption should be placed at the top of the table. All tables must be cited in the main text.
Equation(s)
Equations should be typed in MathType or other editable format and must not be in image format. All equations should be numbered sequentially and cited in the main text.
Author Contributions (Mandatory)
To ensure transparency and fairness in recognizing individual contributions, authors are required to provide an Author Contribution Statement during submission. This statement will be placed above the acknowledgment section of the manuscript.
Roles and Definitions
Authors should select from the following roles to describe their contributions:
Conceptualization: Formulating research goals, developing overarching ideas.
Methodology: Designing or developing methodologies, creating models.
Software: Programming, software development, code implementation, algorithm design, or testing.
Validation: Verifying reproducibility of results, experimental validation.
Formal Analysis: Applying statistical, mathematical, or computational techniques to analyze data.
Investigation: Conducting experiments, data collection, or evidence gathering.
Resources: Providing materials, reagents, patients, lab samples, instrumentation, or other tools.
Data Curation: Managing, annotating, and maintaining research data (including software code if relevant).
Writing – Original Draft: Preparing the initial draft of the manuscript.
Writing – Review & Editing: Critically revising, editing, or commenting on the manuscript (pre- or post-publication).
Visualization: Creating figures, diagrams, or data presentations.
Supervision: Overseeing research planning and execution, mentorship.
Project Administration: Managing research activity coordination and execution.
Funding Acquisition: Securing financial support for the project.
Guidelines for Authors
1. All authors must be listed with their respective roles.
2. A single author may have multiple roles (e.g., Methodology, Formal Analysis, Writing – Original Draft).
3. The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring accuracy and obtaining agreement from all co-authors.
4. All listed authors must meet the authorship requirements of the journal.
5. The Author Contribution Statement should be included in the manuscript and will appear in the published version.
Example of Author Contribution Statement: R.l Islam: Conceptualization, Methodology, Software; E. Akter: Data Curation, Writing – Original Draft; W. Suri: Visualization, Investigation; J. Markus: Supervision; A. Rahim: Software, Validation; D. Leon: Writing – Reviewing and Editing.
Acknowledgements
Please ensure the Acknowledgments section recognizes individuals, institutions, and funding bodies that contributed to the research but do not meet authorship criteria. Clearly state financial support, including grant numbers, and acknowledge technical, editorial, or advisory assistance concisely.
Conflicts of Interest Statement (Mandatory)
All authors must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships that could be perceived as influencing their work. This includes funding sources, employment, consultancies, stock ownership, honoraria, patents, or personal relationships with entities related to the research.
The COI statement could be written in the following form:
- The authors declare no competing financial or non-financial interests, nor any personal relationships, that could influence the work reported herein.
- The authors disclose the following financial and/or non-financial interests that could be perceived as influencing this work:
Funding Information (Mandatory)
The authors must declare any funding received for the work presented in the manuscript. The funding information could be written in the following form:
- This research did not receive any specific grant from funding agencies in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors.
- This work was supported by [Funding Agency/Funder Name] under Grant/Award Number [Number].
Generative AI Statement (Mandatory)
We embrace AI as a tool, not a replacement for human thought. Authors could use these tools to assist in the preparation of the manuscript. However, the authors should disclose their use, verify its output, and retain full accountability. The authors must declare that any generative AI/LLM was used in any stage of the manuscript. The generative AI statement could be written in the following form:
- No generative AI/LLM was used in any stage of this manuscript.
- Generative AI ([Tool Name + Version]) was used solely for [specific task, e.g., language polishing of Sections 1-3]. The authors verified all outputs. No AI-generated content, data, or analysis is presented as original work.
References (Mandatory)
All the references should be listed at the end of the manuscript. All references in the list should be cited sequentially in the manuscript text. References should be in a numbered format and cited in the text as “[1]” for a single source, “[2]-[7]” for several consecutive sources, “[2],[8]” for discrete multiple sources.
Our production team will format the accepted articles for publication in the Journal of Engineering Advancements. So, the authors do not need to worry about formatting their paper in the final layout.
Multiple/Redundant/Duplicate Submission
The journal does not allow Multiple/Redundant/Duplicate submissions. The corresponding authors must declare that the manuscript is not currently under consideration in any other journal during the submission.
Similarity Check
All the submitted papers undergo a similarity check by Crossref Similarity Check powered by iThenticate and if a paper has a significant amount of similarity the paper is sent back to the authors for revision without sending for review.
Review Policy
This journal practices double blind peer review i.e. both the authors nor the reviewers do not know each other’s identity. However, Authors do not need to make their manuscripts anonymous. Click here to read the detailed review policies.
Publishing Ethics
In order to build a network of knowledge, publication in a peer reviewed journal plays an important role. So, it is very important for all (authors, reviewers, editors, or publishers) related to journal publication practices standard ethical behavior. Click here to read our full publication ethics statement.
Proofreading
Once a paper is accepted and formatted by the journal’s production team, the final formatted draft will be sent to the corresponding author for proofreading. Upon approval of the final draft from the corresponding author, the paper will be published online first and then will be included in the upcoming issue.
Access
All the published articles are freely accessible to everyone without any charges. If anyone needs the print version of a particular volume/issue, they need to contact the editorial office ([email protected]) and pay the required charges (US$ 15 per issue + delivery charge).
